Happy Fathers Day to all us Dads out there !!
For a special Fathers Day treat the girls decided to take me into Leeds for a bit of retail therapy and also have something to eat and drink.
Now Leeds is jam packed with great Café's and eateries, its fantastic for anyone who loves great food and drink, so i was really spoilt for choice today.
However...........we decided to visit a lovely new place that has not been open long called Creams British Luxury in the Core Centre.
Just like its name suggests this place really was luxury, from big chairs placed around marble top tables with chandlers hanging down from the ceiling
There was even a guy playing a piano whilst you took in the vibe and atmosphere.
Now as a father i am always concerned about what's going to be available for our 10 year old and now with having the baby, if they will have high chairs etc.
As we entered we were greeted with smiling faces (always a plus) and were shown to a table, before we even asked the waiter he had brought over a high chair. It was one of those decent high chairs too, that kids from being able to sit up to toddler can sit in and it was spotlessly clean. So before we had even looked over the menu i was impressed.
My other concern was what our 10 year old was going to eat was quickly removed as the ever so pleasant waiter (who it turns out lived 3 miles away from us !) brought over a kids menu.
So........what delights do Creams have to offer.
Firstly if you're anything like me the first thing i noticed was the mass selections of buns and cakes, there were loads to choose from, from your Muffins to Macarons to Ice creams and there were some really tasty choices. The White Chocolate and Popcorn flavoured Ice cream was really different and we might have managed to get a cheeky sample of it before we ordered !!
There was a great selection of food and there was something on there that would cater for all tastes. The menu ranged from things like Cheesy Chips to Creams Yorkshire Rarebit, Fish and Chips to Wexford Cheddar Cheese Tart.
You can get salads, Panini or even Roti twist !
All this choice and in really nice surroundings. It was a real treat.
Now im a big kid so i didn't go for one of the many fancy Tea's or Coffee's , instead i had a Chocolate and Sea Salt Milkshake, which was amazing as it was made with ice cream of the same flavour. The other half ordered one too but she got the Roasted Strawberry Milkshake, they were amazing.
The girls also order Strawberry Tarts and our daughter had an amazing hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows the size of your thumb bobbing around in it ! We could have quiet happily had a little taste of everything off the menu.
Service was fantastic and the staff were very warm and welcoming, and to say we were sat in such lavish surroundings the price was very reasonable (again something as a family you have to consider)
I would definitely recommend if you are in Leeds and fancy a light bite, a spot of lunch, a cup of Coffee or Tea and cakes, to check Creams out.
We will defiantly be back and possibly be leaving with one of their amazing take out boxes!
