Filling his bowl and belly with Hills Pet Food.

Just over a year ago we were asked if we could take on a dog that his current owners could no longer keep, it took just one look, and pleading eyes from the hubby and kids for me to say yes... A year later and he's well and truly got his paws under the table!!

Introducing Alfie, our beautiful 6 year old Collie.

When we were asked to review Hills Pet Food  we didn't hesitate to say yes, and when it arrived Alfie had his nose in the parcel before I'd even taken the wrapping off.

His usual feed is dry so I had high hopes that this food would fit straight in with his diet as he can be fussy at times .....But I didn't need to worry, that first taste was gone in seconds and with him looking for more (that's always a good sign). The feed is a firm 5 pence piece sized biscuit that doesn't expend in water. We were sent the chicken flavour which smells rather nice (unlike some).

The food came in a 2.5kg bag with a velcro press-lok top which kept the food fresh, a bonus as our current food is not resealable.
Depending on the size of your dog will determine how long the bag of food will last - see diagram

Alfie loves this food, the amount recommended for his size is bigger than I expected so please do check the guide. Over the past couple of weeks we have noticed that his coat is softer, thicker and has more shine to it. He also seems fuller for much longer and he has a lot more energy....which I didn't think was possible!

I would certainly recommend this food and I'm sure Alfie would too!
